Piper Companies is seeking a QA Engineer to support a growing client in the technology industry in Morrisville, NC. The QA Engineer role requires working in a hybrid environment with 3 days onsite per week. The QA Engineer role is ideal for a detail-oriented testing professional with strong experience in Cypress, automated testing frameworks, and creating scalable test automation solutions.
Responsibilities of the QA Engineer include:
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Cypress to ensure application quality and reliability.
- Partner with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to identify testing requirements and validate functionality.
- Design and implement automation frameworks to improve test coverage and reduce manual testing efforts.
- Investigate, document, and track software defects while collaborating with teams to drive issue resolution.
- Participate in regression, functional, and end-to-end testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
Requirements of the QA Engineer include:
- 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
- Hands-on experience with Cypress and the ability to create and maintain automated test scripts from scratch.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, defect management, and QA best practices.
- Experience working within Agile development environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Compensation for the QA Engineer include:
- $70-80/hour
