Job Title: QA Automation Engineer

Location: Alpharetta, GA (Fully Onsite)

Employment Type: Contract to hire

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to support a critical merchant onboarding application within a large-scale payments environment. This role is responsible for ensuring application quality by validating system functionality, payment network integrations, terminal compatibility, and API performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both manual and automated testing, with a passion for building scalable automation frameworks and improving overall test coverage. Experience with AI-powered testing tools is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites for web applications and APIs.
Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Validate application functionality, payment network integrations, and terminal compatibility.
Create and execute API test cases using modern testing tools and frameworks.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product teams to identify test scenarios and resolve defects.
Analyze test results, document issues, and support defect resolution throughout the software development lifecycle.
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, automation frameworks, and testing strategies.
Work within AWS-based environments to support testing activities.
Leverage AI-powered testing tools and automation technologies where applicable.

Required Qualifications

5-10 years of QA Automation experience.
Strong experience with API testing.
Hands-on experience with Selenium, Java, and Python.
Experience using Playwright for UI and API automation.
Experience working in AWS environments.
Proven ability to develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites.
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test planning, and defect management.
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AI-powered testing tools and intelligent test automation.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
Background supporting enterprise-scale web applications and payment processing platforms.
