Python Lead Developer

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid 3 Days Onsite)
Duration: Long-Term Contract / Full-Time
Experience Required: 10 15+ Years

We are seeking an experienced Python Lead Developer to lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Python development, cloud technologies, microservices architecture, and REST APIs, along with proven technical leadership capabilities. This role requires collaborating with cross-functional teams, mentoring developers, and delivering high-quality software solutions in an Agile environment.

• 10 15+ years of overall software development experience.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Python development.
• Strong expertise in Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Strong object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts and design patterns.
• Experience with asynchronous programming and multiprocessing.
• Solid experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Redis).
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Knowledge of message brokers such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS.
• Strong debugging, performance tuning, and application optimization skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Experience with Generative AI, LLM integrations, or AI-powered applications.
• Familiarity with LangChain, OpenAI APIs, Azure OpenAI, or AWS Bedrock.
• Experience building event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Exposure to data engineering frameworks such as Spark or Airflow.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or Splunk.
• Knowledge of security best practices including OAuth2, JWT, and API security.
• Experience working in financial services or enterprise environments is a plus.

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of enterprise-grade Python applications.
• Develop scalable REST APIs and microservices using modern Python frameworks.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and product owners to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Lead code reviews and enforce coding standards, security, and best practices.
• Mentor and guide junior and senior developers.
• Design cloud-native solutions using AWS, Azure, or GCP services.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
• Integrate third-party APIs and enterprise applications.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide long-term technical solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and technical discussions.
• Create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and deployment guides.
