Schedule Commitment
Regular attendance is an essential job function, and routinely works from 8:00-5:00, Monday-Friday, with additional hours as needed included after-hours and weekends on-call.
Pay Plan
This opportunity is non-exempt and on Pay Grade #15. The full Pay Grade Range is shown for growth and development opportunities within the grade. Salary determination is supported by budget availability and qualifications of the candidate to maintain internal equity.
Hiring Rate: $31.16
- Min: $31.16
- Mid: $38.17
- Max: $45.18

Eligibility
Experience
Required
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 7+ Years of related experience in water quality, water distribution, or a closely related field.
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License.
- Class C Water Distribution License.
- Class I Wastewater Collection License.
Preferred
- Experience in a supervisory or lead role within municipal water or wastewater operations.
- Experience performing cross-connection control inspections, customer service inspections, and maintaining compliance with state and federal water quality standards.
- Additional relevant licenses or certifications beyond the minimum required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Knowledge of and ability to perform all essential job functions related to water quality operations and compliance.
- Ability to read and comprehend both oral and written instructions to carry out job duties accurately and safely.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English to effectively interact with City officials, team members, and the general public.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic functions, including addition, subtraction, and multiplication of whole numbers, and to complete required documentation and reports.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and the public, demonstrating tact, respect, and professionalism.
- Ability to maintain reliable communication through a residential telephone and/or mobile phone as required for operational readiness.
- Must possess and maintain a safe driving record in accordance with City policies and operational needs.
