Position Description:
- The Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) Body Interior Engineer will provide onsite product development support for the F150 Lightning program.
- This role is responsible for driving improved quality and first-time-through performance through root cause analysis, corrective actions (ICA), and preventive actions (PCA).
- The engineer will serve as the first line of defense for interior system quality issues, collaborating closely with design, manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Own and resolve engineering issues related to Body Interior systems (trim, IP, seats, console, headliner, NVH components, carpet, etc.).
- Provide on-site launch and plant support to troubleshoot production issues and drive First Time Through (FTT) improvements.
- Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions (ICA/PCA). Perform data analysis using Excel and other tools to identify trends and develop solutions.
- Support validation testing (DVPR), issue tracking, and release activities.
- Collaborate with suppliers, design engineers, and manufacturing teams to ensure robust designs and high-quality builds.
- Support quality systems including DFMEA, PFMEA, and control plans.
