Purdue University Global offers term by term, non-tenured teaching appointments to

students in Associates, Bachelors and Masters degree programs. This position offers an

Our Opportunity:

The mission of the on ground, part-time adjunct Nursing Instructor, regardless of the

curriculum, is to provide the student(s), our customer(s), with the skills and knowledge

necessary to obtain entry-level employment in the field of their chosen program of

study. To accomplish this mission, all instructors will utilize their talents, skills, and

abilities in a coordinated and consistent team effort under the guidance and supervision

of the Director of Education/ Dean/ Academic Program Head, or his or her designee.

Successful candidates in this role will reside in the Perry, IA area or within a

commutable distance.

\u25cf Provide an engaging learning environment by hands-on activities and with open and timely communication

\u25cf Provide students with appropriate guidance regarding academic excellence

\u25cf Partner with advisors and leadership on student concerns, resolution, retention, and outcomes.

\u25cf Remain current with trends, techniques, and technology.

\u25cf Maintenance of a professional development plan.

\u25cf Additional duties as may be assigned by the School.

Experience:

• BSN required; MSN preferred
• Active, unencumbered state RN licensure with 2 years of experience
• Mental Health experience required
• Higher education teaching experience is preferred.

Additional Information:

• Purdue University Global will not sponsor employment authorization for this position.

• A background check will be required for employment in this position.

• Adjunct compensation varies per course based on student enrollment, program type and also includes a contribution to a retirement account. A typical adjunct in the School of Nursing can expect to receive $3300 per full 10-week course. Retirement account benefits include an automatic 403(b) company contribution of 3% and a company match up to an additional 4% with participation in an optional 457(b) plan.
