SURESTAFF is immediately hiring a Purchasing Logistics Coordinator for a logistics company in Dallas, TX. The premise of this role is providing efficient and accurate information to both internal and external company customers by utilizing their knowledge of the company products and programs as well as team members within the Customer Care Department. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members!  All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation $27.00/HR as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).   Available shifts include Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.  Purchasing Logistics Coordinator  Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Purchasing/Supply – Responsible for ensuring that the right materials/products are in the right place, in the right quantity and at the right time.
  • Shipping/Logistics: Complete daily shipments and tasks. 
  • Proactively support the movement of materials in a cost effective and efficient manner ensuring the demand from internal and external customers is achieved. 
  • Forecast and book with freight providers . 
  • Maintain and update shipping records in line with department requirements.
  • The function also includes the back up of the logistic coordinator in Magog when necessary
  • Raising and expediting purchase orders.
  • Ensuring product availability, on time in full.
  • Create and execute international and domestic shipment’s documentation with verification of tariff f classifications, product descriptions, product values, country of origin and class of shipment. 
  • Solicit quotes and order transportation for order fulfillment, demo nitration equipment, raw materials, etc.
  • Coordinate and prepare documents for shipping Support supply chain initiatives providing information on duties, taxes, freight and other costs where necessary.
  • Report any risk/failures to management and the relevant customer support representative.
  • Trafficking control of maritime and land transport
  • Verify order conformity before transferring to Customer Service.
  Purchasing Logistics Coordinator Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Computer literacy (MS Of f ice Suite)
  • D365 Advantageous but not essential
  • Experience in transportation / logistics
  • Communication skills, Customer care, planning, organizing and time management
  • Need to have an eye for detail and accuracy, ability to be assertive yet flexible, works well under
    pressure, good organizational skills, proven ability to multi -task, ability to work reactively as well
    as proactively, demonstrable ability to work to tight deadlines in times of pressure and strong
    communication skills to build relationships with internal and external customer
Education: 
  • High school diploma or higher
Languages:
  • English spoken and written (Spanish is also an asset)
