Our client, a well-established, family-owned manufacturing company in LaPorte, is seeking a Purchasing / Customer Service Coordinator to support both customer order processing and purchasing operations. What You'll Do

• 
  
• Process customer orders received through email and the company website.
• 
  
• Communicate pricing, order approvals, and updates with the sales team.
• 
  
• Enter customer orders accurately into the company's system and maintain shared files.
• 
  
• Purchase raw materials, packaging, and colorants for multiple manufacturing plants.
• 
  
• Consolidate plant purchasing needs and place vendor orders.
• 
  
• Track certifications, assign lot numbers, and coordinate deliveries between vendors and manufacturing locations.
• 
  
• Maintain accurate purchasing and order records.
• 
  
• Utilize Excel to organize and track purchasing and order information.
• 
  

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 
  
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Outlook skills.
• 
  
• Accurate data entry and excellent attention to detail.
• 
  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• 
  
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• 
  
• Comfortable working with PDFs and Windows file management.
• 
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 
  
• Sage 100 and/or QuickBooks experience.
• 
  
• Manufacturing purchasing or raw materials purchasing experience.
• 
  
• Experience using Excel features such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and Conditional Formatting (preferred but can be learned).
•
