- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution; or
- Associate's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution and a minimum of three (3) years of related purchasing/procurement experience; or
- Six (6) years of experience as a Buyer in lieu of a degree.
- Review and process purchase requisitions for approval in accordance with company policies.
- Create and issue purchase orders for goods and services.
- Place and expedite rush orders to meet operational deadlines.
- Monitor open purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Close completed purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records.
- Resolve vendor credit hold issues to prevent supply disruptions.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and order status.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure purchasing requirements are met.
- Maintain compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Assist with vendor performance monitoring and procurement reporting as needed.
