The Pupil Services Coordinator Facilitator serves as a key liaison and operational lead for student support programs. Reporting directly to the Director of Student Services, the Coordinator ensures the effective delivery of specialized student supports, manages day-to-day program compliance, and facilitates communication between staff, community partners, and the administration to enhance student wellness and safety. We are looking for a professional with strong organizational skills, expertise in McKinney-Vento compliance, expertise in school safety, and the ability to facilitate multi-disciplinary team meetings effectively.
Primary Responsibilities
Program Facilitation & Support
- EL & Specialized Services: Facilitate the identification and placement process for Multi-Language Learners (ML) and monitor service delivery to ensure academic progress.
- McKinney-Vento Liaison: Serve as the district's primary point of contact for families experiencing homelessness, ensuring immediate enrollment and coordinating necessary resources under the direction of the Director.
- Attendance & Truancy Management: Serve as the district''s primary point of contact for attendance & truancy procedures. Monitor district-wide attendance data, facilitate truancy meetings, and collaborate with families and the school staff to remove barriers to regular school attendance.
- Transportation Logistics: Coordinate specialized transportation for students with unique needs, including those under McKinney-Vento or specific program placements.
Systems of Support (MLSS)
- Framework Implementation: Facilitate the district-wide rollout of Multi-Level Systems of Support (MLSS), including PBIS and SEL interventions.
- Universal Social Emotional Learning: Facilitate the district-wide implementation of Tier 1 social emotional curriculum and the district-wide implementation of intensive behavioral interventions. Assist school teams in delivery of instruction
- Strategic Plan Implementation and monitoring: Support building-level teams with the implementation of the safe and engaged core area of the District''s Multi-Year Strategic Plan
- Professional Development: design and implement professional development in social-emotional and behavioral interventions
- Intervention Tracking: Assist school teams in monitoring the effectiveness of behavioral interventions, ensuring data-driven adjustments are made.
- Behavioral Support: Support building-level teams with high-level behavioral interventions and facilitate the administrative documentation required for the pre-expulsion process.
Health, Safety & Mental Health Coordination
- Crisis & Risk Assessment: Develop and coordinate districtwide processes and procedures for Suicide Risk Assessments and general Risk Assessments, ensuring protocols are followed and immediate safety measures are in place.
- Suicide Risk Assessments: Serve as the District''s main point of contact for all suicide risk assessments and provide consultation to school staff to ensure District procedures are implemented for all risk assessments
- Safety Plan Maintenance: Assist the Deputy Superintendent in creating and updating school safety and crisis management plans, ensuring alignment with Department of Justice (DOJ) standards.
- Community Partnerships: Act as the primary coordinator for community mental health partners, streamlining the integration of outside services into the school environment.
- Staff Facilitation: Provide ongoing coordination and resource support for School Social Workers and School Counselors to ensure alignment with district SEL, safety and emotionally safe goals.
- Homebound Services: Manage the logistics and instructional coordination for students requiring homebound services.
Qualified candidate should hold one of the following DPI Licenses:
Pupil Services, School Social Work, or School Counseling
