This is a full-time, full year position. Answer phone, direct calls, take messages, schedule appointments and relay general information as necessary to community members, school staff and representatives from public and private entities Analyze and classify material for filing and maintain general office files Perform word processing tasks as assigned, including writing letters, creating meeting invitations, developing student forms and managing spreadsheets and databases Perform routine repetitive tasks related to the operation of various office equipment including copy/scan/fax machines, etc. Process all paperwork related to special education students entering and leaving the district Duplicate and distribute special education meeting invitations, evaluation reports and IEPs according to the required timelines Maintain and update confidential student records including all records for out of district students and students receiving Medicaid Learning Aspen special education components and serve as a resource for special education staff who require assistance Maintain Aspen database for active, withdrawn and referred special education students Maintain databases for all Medicaid eligible students Serve as liaison between UMASS Medical (Medicaid) and the school district Maintain confidentiality at all times Interact with families and staff in a courteous and professional manner Provide administrative support to all Special Education Coordinators Perform other administrative duties as requested by the Director of Pupil Personnel Services
