- Provide all aspects of therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care based on established standards.
- Administer oxygen therapy according to policy and procedure.
- Perform diagnostic tests according to policy and procedure as appropriate to the ages of the patient's growth and development through the life cycle factors (Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adult, and Geriatrics).
- Maintain, evaluate and operate pulmonary function equipment.
- Respond to emergency situations in Hospital as appropriate to the ages of the patient's growth and development through the life cycle factors (Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adult, and Geriatrics).
- Attend and participate in education and Department meetings.
- Participate in the training and monitoring of respiratory students during their clinical rotation at Saint Peter's University Hospital. Provide guidance, assistance and instruction to registry-eligible Care Practitioners and Respiratory Care Trainers on therapeutic and technical questions as appropriate to the ages of the patient's growth and development through the life cycle factors (Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adult, and Geriatrics).
- Be responsible for Quality Improvement activities in pulmonary areas.
