The PW Streets Maintenance Worker I is covered under the AFSCME Bargaining Union, and all new hires begin employment at $22.32 per hour, regardless of years of experience. Employees in this classification receive a step increase on their anniversary. The steps effective 7/1/2025 include:

Please initial below to acknowledge the following: Winter operations require 24 hour coverage (including 2nd and 3rd shift) approximately January-March depending on weather conditions. Back shifts are filled on a volunteer basis first and then based on seniority. Newer staff will likely be moved to a back shift during these months. Upgrade pay and shift differentials apply to those working 2nd and 3rd shift.
