General Description
JOIN OUR TEAM AS A PUBLIC WORKS OPERATIONS MANAGER
Highly visionary, leadership, professional, managerial and customer focused position responsible for overseeing the personnel and activities of the Operations Division in the Department of Public Works. Responsible for the repair, replacement and general maintenance of the public infrastructure, including roadways, stormwater drainage systems and traffic control devices. The ideal candidate will be an effective change agent driven to inspire and implement change with excellent customer service, leadership and communication skills.

Minimum Requirements
PHYSICAL SKILLS: Ability to communicate effectively using verbal, written and visual communication.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelors Degree in management, public administration, engineering, environmental sciences, or a related field with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in operations and maintenance, including three (3) years experience in management and leadership OR an Associate degree and seven (7) years of experience and five (5) years experience in management or leadership OR graduation from a high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in operations and maintenance, including eight (8) years experience in management and leadership.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS: Must possess a valid Florida drivers license.

Effective July 1, 2011, FRS members must contribute 3% of their salary as retirement contributions, on a pre-tax basis (the salary is reduced by the amount of the employee contribution before determining the federal income tax deduction).
