Spurwink seeks a highly collaborative, creative and flexible clinician to join our Public School Counseling and ShifaME teams. In this hybrid role, Spurwink Clinician will provide individual and family therapy in the school setting. Home and community-based sessions are also offered as needed. ShifaME serves refugee and immigrant children and families impacted by traumatic stress. This is a team-based model in which clinicians and Cultural Brokers work together in mental health service delivery, utilizing the evidence-based model Trauma Systems Therapy adapted for refugees (TST-R).
This position is year-round and is located at King Middle School grades 6-8
Spurwink prioritizes quality supervision for clinicians, using a blend of individual and group formats to meet the licensing requirements and professional development needs. Clinicians receive training and consultation in TST-R, supporting their clinical work and co-facilitation of groups with refugee youth to address acculturative stress and increase belonging.
A generous allowance is provided for therapy supplies, external trainings, and license reimbursement.
DUTIES:
Conduct psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and providing individual and family therapy.
Provide updates on treatment progress for managed care entries, clinical documentation, and electronic record keeping.
Interdisciplinary collaboration and strong networking skills are essential.
QUALIFICATIONS:
All applicants must possess a Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling, and a current Maine Licensure (LMSW-cc, LCSW, LCPC-c, or LCPC). Fully licensed strongly preferred. All applicants must maintain a current driver's license and a clean driving record as outlined in Spurwink's Driving policy.
