Develops and executes strategic public relations initiatives to strengthen the organization’s brand, reputation, and community presence. Manages media relations, crafts press releases and communication materials, and supports event coordination to effectively engage target audiences.
Monitors media coverage and evaluates campaign performance to inform strategy and continuous improvement. Collaborates with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.
Supports crisis communication efforts, maintains media contact databases, and tracks industry trends to enhance PR strategies and outreach effectiveness.

- Develops and implements strategic public relations initiatives to enhance the organization’s brand and public image
- Manages media relations by building and maintaining relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers
- Crafts press releases, media kits, and other communication materials to effectively convey key messages
- Supports planning and coordination of events to promote organizational visibility and stakeholder engagement
- Monitors media coverage and analyzes campaign effectiveness to inform future PR strategies
- Collaborates with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels
- Handles crisis communication efforts to protect and manage the organization’s reputation
- Maintains media contact databases and tracks industry trends to stay current with best practices
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, or a related field
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in public relations, communications, or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and PowerPoint
- Experience managing media relations and developing press materials (e.g., press releases, media pitches)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with media monitoring tools and PR analytics
