The Shelton Group PR team serves as a trusted partner and strategic consultant, helping clients create, evolve, promote and protect their brands and reputations in competitive markets. We work with companies across all stages of growth and development.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Lead and assist with client account strategy, including brainstorming and campaign planningManage day-to-day client relationships and ensure effective execution of PR initiativesDraft client materials, including press releases, media materials, and traditional and digital content; edit internal and external communicationsBuild and maintain media lists; pitch stories to relevant outletsTrack, generate, and report on media and influencer coveragePrepare account service documents, such as agendas and reports (weekly, quarterly)Participate in and document client meetings and conference callsREQUIRED SKILLS & CHARACTERISTICS Proven ability to pitch media and analystsEstablished relationships with industry publicationsExperience interfacing with C-Suite executivesStrong presentation and communication skills, both written and verbalExpert knowledge of AP StyleHighly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitaskProfessional demeanor and strong work ethicProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, MuckRack, and other relevant softwareSome travel is expected to meet with clients or attend eventsREQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field3–5 years of experience in an agency or corporate PR environmentOFFICE LOCATION & BENEFITS Local candidates preferred; remote candidates considered based on experience and fitBenefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid holidays, and generous PTOSeniority level Mid-Senior levelEmployment type Full-timeJob function Marketing, Public Relations, and Writing/EditingIndustries Public Relations and Communications Services#J-18808-Ljbffr
