Our client, a prestigious AmLaw 50 international law firm, is seeking a 

Public Finance Associate Attorney to support its Specialty Finance practice in Atlanta. This opportunity is ideal for an early‑career associate interested in tax‑exempt bond finance, economic development incentives, and public‑private partnerships, with exposure to sophisticated transactions involving real estate, financial services, and corporate finance. The role offers hands‑on responsibility, direct client interaction, and meaningful collaboration within a collegial, growth‑oriented environment.

 


 

Candidate Profile

  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
  • Active Bar Admission in Georgia, in good standing
  • 1-3 years of substantive transactional experience in public finance transactions 
  • Background in real estate, financial services, or corporate transactional practice
  • Demonstrated interest in traditional tax‑exempt bond finance, economic development incentives, and public and private partnerships
  • Excellent drafting, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive, client‑service‑oriented mindset

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate loan documents and related transaction materials
  • Manage deal workflows, including coordination with internal teams, clients, and third‑party participants to ensure timely execution
  • Interface directly with clients, lenders, and other deal participants
  • Support senior attorneys on public finance and specialty finance transactions
  • Assist with business development initiatives and client relationship management efforts

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Salary: Annual base salary is expected to range from $215,000-$250,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and market factors
  • Bonus eligibility
