LHH is partnering with a respected law firm to identify a Public Law Assistant/Paralegal to support attorneys on public finance and bond financing matters. Looking for strong transactional experience who enjoys managing complex projects and working directly with clients, government entities, and transaction participants. Will look at strong transactional background as well.
This role offers a hybrid schedule with one remote day per week and a salary range of $80,000-$95,000, with flexibility for exceptional candidates
Responsibilities:
Public Finance & Bond Transactions
Assist attorneys with public finance and bond financing transactions from inception through closing.
Draft and review legal documents, resolutions, closing certificates, opinions, checklists, and other transaction-related materials.
Prepare and assemble closing transcripts and transaction binders.
Coordinate the distribution of draft and executed documents through virtual data rooms, email, and other delivery methods.
Act as a liaison between clients, government agencies, financial institutions, vendors, and outside counsel.
Conduct final document reviews, page-checking, and quality control prior to closing.
Assist with transaction closings, including collecting and organizing required documentation and coordinating pre-closing and closing activities.
Review completed documents to ensure proper execution and maintain accurate transaction records.
Corporate & Administrative Support
Maintain corporate records and organizational documents for financing entities and nonprofit corporations.
Assist with annual filings and ongoing corporate compliance matters.
Prepare, revise, proofread, and format legal documents with a high degree of accuracy.
Convert, compile, redact, and manage documents in Microsoft Office and PDF formats.
Download, organize, and manage virtual data room materials.
Open new client matters and assist with engagement and billing documentation.
Coordinate travel arrangements, meetings, firm events, and other administrative projects as needed.
Accurately capture billable time and support attorneys with day-to-day practice management needs.
Qualifications
2-5 years of law firm experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal.
Strong transactional experience; public law or public finance experience is a plus but not required.
Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate strongly preferred.
Strong proofreading, document production, and project management abilities.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and document management systems.
Experience working with virtual data rooms or similar platforms is a plus.

Pay: This posting is a representative sample of the types of roles we typically place with our clients. Depending on the specific client, location, and role, the salary range is estimated to be $80,000 to $95,000 annual salary and benefits may include medical, dental, vision, and 401k plans.
