Position Overview
The Recruiting Analyst will spend a year working with Butler Men's Basketball (MBB) program, providing logistical and administrative support while gaining experience with a college basketball program. This position will be the "motor" that allows the MBB staff recruiting efforts to be organized and efficient by carrying out essential duties and tasks, all while learning about building relationship and learning the various job functions within the program.
The Recruiting Analyst is selected for a one season term. The Head Coach has the option to invite the Recruiting Analyst to participate in the program for one additional year.
Responsibilities
Execute Recruiting Tasks as directed by GM & MBB Staff
Execute data-driven projects as directed by the Director of Player Personnel & Roster Management
Video Analysis and Editing for MBB Staff
Collecting and organizing scouting intel
Resource for Head Coach, GM, and Assistant Coaches
Other duties as assigned by Head Coach.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Excellent communication skills
Organized self-starter who can work well with a variety of people at all levels
Ability to use discretion when handling or exposed to confidential information
Drive to be a forward thinker in the 'front office era' of college basketball
Works effectively in a dynamic & fast paced environment while maintaining
Excellent attention to detail
Possesses initiative and love of craft to challenge themselves and continually strive for improvement
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Available and dependable
Ability to maintain availability and flexibility to assist with any needs for staff
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Able to work effectively with student-athletes, coaches, administrators and staff
