Now Hiring: Part-Time Direct Care Associate (Weekend Shift - Immediate Opening)

Hourly Pay: $20.04

Shift Differential: Additional $2.50 per hour for evening, overnight, and weekend shifts worked.

Work Schedule: Every other weekend (Sat & Sun) 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. or 12:00 a.m.- 8:00 a.m

Looking for a part-time opportunity where your work directly supports recovery and transformation? The Southeastern Family Project (SEFP) is currently hiring a Part-Time Direct Care Associate for an every-other-weekend schedule (Saturday and Sunday shifts). This is a hands-on role supporting women and families in a residential treatment setting focused on recovery from substance use and co-occurring mental health challenges.

About the Role

In this position, you will be an essential part of the residential care team, helping maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment. You will work closely with the Program Manager and other staff to provide day-to-day supervision, encouragement, and practical support to clients as they progress through treatment and stabilization.

Your work will directly contribute to helping clients build routines, strengthen recovery skills, and maintain a healthy living environment for themselves and their children.

About SEFP

The Southeastern Family Project is part of the **Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board network of services, providing licensed residential treatment for substance use disorders (ASAM levels 3.5 and 3.1). The program serves non-pregnant women, pregnant women, postpartum women, and infants in a structured, gender-responsive setting.

SEFP focuses on creating a stable therapeutic environment that promotes recovery, parenting support, and overall wellness for families working toward long-term stability.

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision and daily support in a residential treatment environment
  • Assist clients with daily living tasks, including household routines and infant care
  • Observe and report client progress, behaviors, and safety concerns
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of services provided
  • Encourage participation in recovery programming, life skills development, and structured activities
  • Support a therapeutic and recovery-focused residential setting

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least one (1) year of experience in direct care, behavioral health, residential treatment, or substance use services (CNA certification is a plus)
  • Valid Virginia driver's license
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently during weekend shifts and collaborate with a team
