    Job Summary:

    Reporting to the Director of Bands, this seasonal position oversees sectionals with the Marching Band Brass section and creates marching band arrangements for performances.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Create and teach musical arrangements for halftime shows and stands
    • Provide strategies to increase students' technique ability on the brass instruments
    • Develop and monitor sectional routines for brass students.
    • Assist with Marching Band Rehearsals, where needed.
    • All other related duties as assigned

    Minimum Job Qualifications

    Education and/or Experience

    • Three years of College Music study; bachelor's in music preferred.
    • Experience with Brass section, marching band arranging or equivalent training

    Certificates, Licenses or Registrations

    None

    Physical Demands

    Ability to sit or stand for up to 8 hours/day. Some lifting (up to 25 pounds occasionally), bending, and carrying. The employee is regularly required to talk and hear, and to use hands and fingers to handle or feel.
