Description

Summary

Organizes, plans, and assists in the management of the volleyball program under the supervision of the Head Volleyball Coach, with a strong emphasis on student retention, persistence, and engagement. The Assistant Volleyball Coach assists with recruiting, fundraising, scouting, summer camps, team travel, practice and match planning, player development, and other duties as assigned. This position is a part-time, 6-month position.

Knowledge & Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assist with organization and supervision of the volleyballprogram
  • Assist with scheduling, budget development, travel arrangements, and scholarship coordination
  • Develop recruiting relationships with high schools and communityorganizations
  • Participate in marketing, public relations, and fundraisinginitiatives
  • Coordinate and track recruiting, admissions, and eligibilityprocesses
  • Monitor and support student-athlete academicprogress
  • Assist with video breakdown, analytics, and playerdevelopment
  • Attend all practices and matches, providing coachingfeedback
  • Maintain equipment inventory and compile statisticalreports
  • Assist in coordinating practiceschedules
  • Ensure compliance with NJCAA and Region 10 rules andregulations
  • Assist with camps, clinics, and programevents
  • Serve as an academic mentor tostudent-athletes
  • Perform other duties asassigned

Qualifications

Education Minimum: Associates degree from an accredited college or university.

Education Preferred: None

Experience Minimum:

One (1) to three (3) years of coaching experience at the high school varsity, club, and/or AAU level

Experience Preferred:

  • One (1) to three (3) years of coaching experience at the NJCAA, USCAA,NCCAA, NAIA, or NCAAlevel
  • Demonstrated familiarity with NJCAA and Region 10 rules, regulations, and eligibility requirements
  • Experience with recruiting, roster management, and eligibility tracking at thecollegiate levelpreferred

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to compute totals, ratios, and percentages and interpret basic statistical data.
