Psychology Assistant

May write reports to present at meeting; Demonstrates willingness to learn phlebotomy techniques necessary to fulfill project needs; Perform other related duties as assigned; and, May require off-campus site visits. Excellent organizational, oral, written and analytical communications skills; strong database management and clear understanding of clinical and research databases.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists Principal Investigator(s) in administering and scoring neuropsychological tests, collecting data, conducting preliminary statistical analyses in coordination with statistical team.

• Conducts and scores neuropsychological assessments in compliance with study protocols;
• Conducts participant interviews using standardized techniques to ensure accurate data collection;
• Review, and audit data for accuracy; follow up with participants as needed to resolve discrepancies;
• Works with statistical team to perform analyses;
•  Conducts literature reviews to support research activities and manuscript development;
• Manages research databases using Excel, and other statistical or data management programs;
• Organizes and prepares grant-related documentation for Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions. May write reports to present at meeting;
• Demonstrates willingness to learn phlebotomy techniques necessary to fulfill project needs;
• Perform other related duties as assigned; and,
• May require off-campus site visits.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree is required. Coursework in Psychology preferred
• Major in Neuroscience is preferred
• Experience of working in a Neuroscience Laboratory preferred
• Experience with software programs such as excel, SSPS, and matlab preferred
• Experience working with children preferred

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Windows and Mac operating systems

Additional Information: In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rates for this are listed below. This rate is based on the 1199 bargaining unit contract. Hiring Rate: 28.79 Post Probationary Rate: 29.32 Job Rate: 30.54 Minimum Salary Range: USD $28.79/Hr. Maximum Salary Range: USD $28.79/Hr.
