Location: Hagerstown, MD
Compensation: $335,000 Salary + $250,000 Sign-On Bonus + Up to $50,000 Relocation Assistance
Position Highlights
- Base Salary: $335,000
- Sign-On Bonus: $250,000
- Relocation Assistance: Up to $50,000
- Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off (10-hour shifts)
- Work Environment: 100% inpatient, no outpatient clinic duties
- Caseload: Manageable with approximately 16 patients
- Teaching Opportunities: Engage with psychiatry residents, medical students, and NP/PA programs

Practice Details
- Program Capacity: 38-bed Child & Adolescent Inpatient Program (average census of ~32)
- Age Range: Serves children and adolescents aged 8-17
- Average Length of Stay: 8-10 days
- Common Diagnoses: ADHD, depressive disorders, trauma, autism spectrum disorders, ODD, and adolescent substance use
- Admissions: Primarily from local emergency departments
Team-Based Care
Collaborate with a dedicated multidisciplinary behavioral health team, which includes:
- Nurses & Mental Health Associates
- Social Workers & Counselors
- Psychologists
- Discharge Planning Team
- Medical Consult Services
All team members are trained in CPI de-escalation techniques and safety protocols, supported by security measures to ensure a secure care environment.
Call Schedule
- 1 night per week
- 1 in 6 weekends
- Daytime on-call coverage for emergency department referrals and urgent inpatient needs
