Community Behavioral Health, LLC (CBH) is hiring Child Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) Direct Care Workers to support children and adolescents with mental health needs in after-school, home, community, and clinic settings.

This is a hands-on, community-based role focused on helping children build emotional, behavioral, and daily living skills. PRP workers do not provide therapy. Instead, they work alongside licensed therapists and psychiatrists to help children practice the skills outlined in their treatment plans.

How the Child PRP Program Works

  • Services are primarily provided after school and during summer programs

  • Some community or home visits may be required

  • Workers may provide respite services, including structured supervision and support

  • The role involves direct interaction with children and coordination with families and the treatment team

What You Will Do

  • Work directly with children in after-school, home, community, or clinic settings

  • Support emotional regulation, behavior management, and social skills

  • Provide respite services as assigned

  • Reinforce treatment goals set by therapists and psychiatrists

  • Communicate with parents, caregivers, and supervisors

  • Complete required documentation in the electronic medical record

  • Attend required meetings and training

Schedule

  • Part-time position

  • Hours are primarily after school (approximately 2 or 3 PM to 5 or 6 PM)

  • Additional hours may be available during summer programs and school breaks

  • Some flexibility required based on client needs

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation

  • Ability to pass background check

  • Comfort working with children and families

  • Willingness to travel locally for services

  • Ability to complete documentation electronically

Work Type

  • In-person, community-based services required per Maryland regulations
