Job Duties
- Provide diagnostic services to all on the identified caseload. Request and monitor lab results as needed.
- Complete Psychiatric and Mental Health Assessments from intake to prescription with evidenced based practices
- Patient education and any contraindications on medication names, dosages, functions, and side effects.
- Write prescriptions for all consumers on the identified caseload and monitor/manage side effects as needed.
- Approve refills, coordinate with pharmacies, and maintain current orders.
- Assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of emergency services and protocols for individual care.
- Must be familiar with Bipolar, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective disorder, ADHD and able to assess and or do medication management including continuity of care with LAI. Able to comply with regulations and prescribe controlled substances as regulated by DEA and any applicable OAR’s.
Education
- Extended Class Registration Examination completion
- Masters Degree, nursing
- University/college psychiatric nursing program
