Adelphi is seeking  an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide comprehensive psychiatric services to adult offenders in the custody of a correctional facility in  North Carolina. Positions are available for telepsychiatry . The Provider will work as part of an interdisciplinary team delivering care in accordance with established policies, community standards of practice, and correctional mental health guidelines.

Requirements:<\/span>

• Unrestricted North Carolina NP license with PMHNP certification.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• BLS certification<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• DEA certification<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• ACLS certification<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Minimum of one year post -licensure clinical experience in psychiatric or correctional settings preferred.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Familiarity with EMR systems (HERO preferred) and ability to function in a secure environment.<\/span>

Responsibilities:<\/span><\/span><\/b>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, mental health assessments, and crisis interventions for incarcerated adults.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Diagnose mental illnesses and develop individualized treatment plans.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in compliance with the facility's formulary.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Monitor patient response to treatment and modify plans as clinically appropriate.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation using the HERO electronic medical record system.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Collaborate with physicians, correctional nurses, psychologists, and other clinical personnel.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and attend scheduled team meetings.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Comply with all DAC regulations, HIPAA requirements, and PREA standards.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Support continuity of care and appropriate referrals for higher levels of psychiatric treatment as needed.<\/span><\/span>
