Normal Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, Flexible Schedule

Pay Range: $16 on the E1 Exempt Pay Range Schedule

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified PsychiatricDD Nurse Manager to join our team at the Ohio Department of Behavioral Health. As a Clinical Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for the organization and administration of the Nursing Department, supervising psychiatric nurse supervisors, and directing licensed and non-licensed nursing staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Clinical Nurse Manager under the direction of the Director of Nursing
  • Assist the DON in the organization and administration of the Nursing Department
  • Supervise psychiatric nurse supervisors, direct, and supervise licensed and non-licensed nursing staff
  • Act for the DON in their absence
  • Communicate and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and other clinical disciplines
  • Develop and oversee patient education by all clinical disciplines
  • Develop an annual plan for professional improvement
  • Monitor and train nursing staff

Requirements:

  • Current license as a registered professional nurse in the state of Ohio, as issued by the Board of Nursing
  • 36 months of experience in psychiatric nursing or delivery of nursing services to persons with developmental disabilities
  • Completion of an undergraduate core program in nursing, 18 months of training, or 18 months of experience in supervision, 18 months of experience in management, 12 months of training, or 12 months of experience in counseling, or 12 months of experience in public relations
  • Or equivalent of the Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above, but not for the mandated licensure
