Position Overview:

The Provider Training and Development Specialist is responsible for the coordination, execution, and evaluation of provider trainings and training materials.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in the design, development, and facilitation of trainings for CBH providers.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify training deficits.
  • Deliver pre-and post-training evaluation to participants as needed.
  • Utilize creative and adaptive teaching techniques to accommodate adult learning needs, such as e-learning, web-based virtual trainings, and workshops
  • Prepare clear, well-written training materials for the appropriate audience.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: Master's degree in Behavioral Health, Public Health, or related field
  • License/Certification: N/A
  • Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of three years' (five years preferred) experience in a behavioral health setting; two years of professional experience in training and adult education

  • Proven experience in facilitating and developing content for training programs
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills and attention to detail
  • Project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where independence and adaptability are required
  • High professional standards for customer service
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate willingness and ability to work with a diverse workforce
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, as needed
  • Excellent public speaking, group facilitation, and writing skills
  • Proficiency in use of web-based meeting and webinar platforms, such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams
  • Ability to partner with subject matter experts on training needs and platforms for training delivery
  • Proficient in the Microsoft suite of products (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Word)

Philadelphia Residency Requirement:

  • The successful candidate must be a current Philadelphia resident or become a resident within six months of hire.

Community Behavioral Health (CBH) is a not-for-profit 501c (3) corporation contracted by the City of Philadelphia to provide mental health and substance abuse services for Philadelphia County Medicaid recipients.
