Key ResponsibilitiesLead assigned engineering projects and provide technical support to the Outage & Project Management (O&PM) team and other Energy Supply personnel.Serve as backup to the Lead Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer when required.Oversee project execution to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, project plans, manufacturer requirements, and regulatory standards.Monitor and coordinate daily activities of contractors, construction teams, outage coordinators, station planners, and third-party vendors.Review and coordinate engineering documentation from consulting engineers and equipment suppliers, ensuring proper issuance, maintenance, and permanent record retention.Support development of project scopes, schedules, and cost estimates .Facilitate project meetings and conference calls to ensure milestones, schedules, and budgets remain on track.Troubleshoot plant operations and maintenance (O&M) issues and support power generation facilities in identifying and resolving process control challenges.Provide plant support during outages and critical operational periods as needed.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited programStrong technical knowledge in controls and process engineeringAbility to execute complex engineering assignments and develop improved technical proceduresExperience conducting engineering studies, reports, and technical analysesAbility to coordinate external consultants and contractors on complex projectsExperience RequirementsMinimum 4+ years of engineering experienceBackground in heavy industry or utility environmentsExperience in project engineering and/or plant maintenanceMinimum 8+ years of engineering experienceBackground in heavy industry or utility environmentsExperience in project engineering and/or plant maintenancePreferred8+ years working in utility generating facilities or engineering firms supporting power generation facilitiesPreferred QualificationsExperience supervising contractors and/or cooperative education studentsPassed the Florida Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) ExamLicensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of FloridaKnowledge of company engineering policies and proceduresStrong proficiency with:Microsoft Office ( Excel, Word, PowerPoint )OSI PI HistorianAdvanced project engineering expertise in control/process systemsUp to 10% travel , including overnight and extended assignmentsFrequent travel between office and power station locationsLimited international travel may be requiredWork in industrial settings including:HeightsConfined spacesOutdoor environments (hot, humid, wet, or cold conditions)Occasional overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidaysPhysical RequirementsAbility to climb stairs, ladders, and scaffoldingUse of PPE including:Safety harnessesRespiratory protectionIndustrial safety equipmentAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsComfortable working in high-noise, dusty, humid environmentsAbility to crawl into and out of confined spacesIf you're passionate about industrial controls, process optimization, and power generation engineering , we'd love to connect.#J-18808-Ljbffr
