Job Title: Propulsion Test Engineer
Location: Kennedy Space Center, FL (100% Onsite)
Pay Rate: $80.00/hr -$85.00/hr (W2)
Contract Duration: 8 Months
Shifts: 1st shift baseline; 2nd and 3rd shifts may be required during test operations

Overtime: Yes – Overtime and DOT expected to support test operations
Training Requirement: Successful completion of OJT or formal classroom training is a contingency for assignment



Position Overview:
Client is seeking highly qualified Propulsion Test Engineers to support spacecraft propulsion system testing operations at Kennedy Space Center, FL. This role is vital in executing mission-critical testing, leak-checking, and servicing operations on systems that include hypergolic propellants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform test engineering functions including procedure authoring and execution on spacecraft propulsion systems
  • Conduct hypergolic propellant servicing and operational procedures
  • Execute steps for component removal, replacement, and re-testing on hypergolic systems
  • Perform leak testing and verification of spacecraft fluid propulsion systems
  • Operate high-pressure pneumatic systems to pressurize flight hardware
  • Lead and coordinate with technicians, quality assurance, and fellow engineers during test execution
  • Troubleshoot and document non-conformances on both flight hardware and ground support equipment

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 5+ years of propulsion-related fluids test engineering experience on spacecraft
  • Prior experience:
    • Loading hypergolic propellants or working with hypergol-contaminated systems
    • Performing leak checks and functional testing on propulsion fluid systems
    • Operating high-pressure pneumatic equipment to support flight operations
    • Leading test teams and collaborating with QA and engineering staff
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with experience resolving non-conformances
  • Willingness to work overtime and off-shift operations as needed (including 2nd and 3rd shifts)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Leak Test Certification
  • Current SCAPE/SAR certification

  • Shift: 1st shift baseline, must be flexible for 2nd/3rd shift as needed during operations
