Compensation:

  • The pay for this position is $110,000 per year
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Highlights

  • The required availability for this position is Monday – Friday, standard business hours (flexibility required for proposal deadlines)

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end development of compliant, compelling federal proposals including RFP analysis, outline creation, scheduling, writing, editing, and final production
  • Manage multiple concurrent proposals with tight turnaround times, including rapid 72-hour task order responses
  • Facilitate color team reviews, solutioning sessions, and collaboration with SMEs, Business Development, and leadership
  • Develop and enforce proposal schedules, compliance matrices, templates, and version control processes
  • Write and edit technical, management, past performance, and staffing proposal sections with clarity and compliance
  • Translate complex technical input from SMEs into customer-focused, persuasive content
  • Maintain and expand reusable proposal libraries including resumes and past performance materials
  • Support capture and business development efforts including win strategy, competitive analysis, and opportunity qualification
  • Participate in pipeline reviews, teaming discussions, and shaping activities
  • Establish and improve proposal processes, templates, and workflows to increase efficiency and quality
  • Educate internal stakeholders on proposal best practices, timelines, and expectations
  • Coordinate across remote teams, subcontractors, and partners to ensure timely and accurate proposal submissions
  • Communicate risks, gaps, and needs proactively to leadership

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
  • 5+ years of experience managing and writing federal government proposals (Gov/Con experience required; small business experience preferred)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously with minimal oversight
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to synthesize technical information
  • Experience supporting rapid-turnaround task orders and IDIQ environments
  • Familiarity with Shipley or similar proposal development methodologies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools such as Teams and SharePoint
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment with strong accountability

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting business development and capture activities in a growing organization
  • Knowledge of federal contracting, FAR/DFARS, and government procurement cycles
  • Ability to build and implement structured proposal processes in less mature environments
  • Graphic design or desktop publishing experience (PowerPoint, Visio, Adobe)

Education:

  • Required: High School Diploma
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
