Property and Inventory Management Analyst (DoT)About the RoleInteractive Government Holdings (IGH) is seeking a qualified, trained and capable Inventory Management Specialist I or II who will serve on the US Department of Transportation in Washington, DC.Position VisionThe Inventory Management Specialist is responsible for scheduling, rescheduling inventory counts with inventory teams and property custodians, reviewing inventory folders for reconciliation and updating the database to reflect all changes, obtaining signatures on reconciled reports, and filing documentation.The Inventory Management Specialist will serve on an Inventory Team that conducts wall‑to‑wall inventories of all government property with barcodes, identifies property that should have been accounted for and for items not barcoded, attaches stickers to identify verification, collects missing data to be uploaded to the property database in Excel format electronically and in writing.Major ResponsibilitiesAccountability of government‑owned property (furniture, fixtures and equipment)BarcodingPhysical inventories of government‑owned equipment/furnitureCreating and maintaining inventory folders on the shared driveMaintaining inventory records submitted by DOT customersReconciliationsReutilization efforts and initiativesExcessing of propertyProperty/warehouse data collectionsDatabase updates of assets and furnitureComputer donationsMaintenance and repair of furnitureFurniture inspectionsInternet researchRecords managementMandatory Training/CertificationProperty Management CertificationSkills RequiredInventory management skillsEducation and certifications, or at least three years of specialized experience, in property management.Familiarity with Property Management Regulations set forth by the General Services Administration, General Accounting Office, Office of Ethics, Office of Management and Budget.
