Property Accountant
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 + Bonus
Flexibility may be available for candidates with additional relevant experience.
Hybrid Schedule: 4 Days In Office / 1 Day Remote
Our client, a highly respected commercial real estate company, is seeking a Property Accountant to join its growing team. Responsibilities
- Perform month-end close activities for an assigned property portfolio
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, tenant billings, and account reconciliations
- Analyze financial results and budget variances
- Review lease agreements and ensure accurate tenant billing
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and CAM reconciliations
- Support acquisitions, dispositions, and other special projects
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 2+ years of accounting experience
- Strong Excel, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Preferred
- CPA or active CPA candidate
- Public accounting experience, particularly from a local or regional firm
- Commercial real estate or property accounting experience
- Experience with Yardi or similar accounting software
