Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Project Support Specialist with our large power and utilities client in Salem, SC. This is a 3-year contract with a potential for extension. 


Pay:$47.00 - $57.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.



Description:
The Project Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the Project Management team. This position will assist multiple project managers in successfully managing projects including providing administrative support, material planning, logistics, purchasing support and outage support. The primary function of this role will be project integration tasks as outlined below.


Responsibilities:
Support Project Management team in:
  • Assist with configuration management and project closeout in our ACT software.
  • Coordinate field labeling activities
  • Coordinate integration of projects into plant operations and maintenance programs (i.e., Lockout-Tagout database, preventative maintenance, etc.)
  • Assist with contractor bid packages.
  • Assist with managing purchase orders.
  • Arrange meetings with stakeholders, contractors, and vendors.
  • Use business software applications (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel) to prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, NERC/environmental checklists, risk registers, agendas, minutes, etc.
  • Implement project setup in both our accounting and project management software.
  • Generate financial reports and assist with monthly forecasting.
  • Gather required approvals for invoices for processing through the A/P.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic project management principles.
  • Project related work/school experience; Demonstrated to Working Knowledge in Project Management, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, and Problem Solving; Collaborative Team Member.
  • Demonstrated to Working knowledge in project related Scheduling / Cost Controls.
  • The Project Management Specialist may have relationships with individuals in various organizations ranging from individual contributors to Department Leadership (i.e. individual contributors up to senior department management).
