Manager-Project/Product II -Scheduling

Location: Pomona, CA

Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid Onsite Mondays and Tuesdays

Contract Details

  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: 18 months
  • Pay Rate: $16.50 $75.13 / Hour (USD)
  • Shift / Schedule: Days (First Shift)

Job Summary

This role requires leading and managing multiple programmatic projects between 100 and 150 small/medium projects within a portfolio with full responsibility for results in terms of scope, costs, schedule, methods, and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead/manage multiple programmatic projects (between 100 150 small/medium projects within a portfolio) with responsibility for results in terms of scope, costs, schedule, methods, and outcomes
  • Provides direction for the project team and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, including scoping and project initiation, planning and design, dependencies (e.g., material delivery, environmental, permitting), construction, and project close-out activities
  • Direct involvement in tasks necessary for successful project execution. Identifies problems and solutions. Collaborates to establish project objectives, timelines, risk analysis, milestones, deliverables, and budgets.
  • Utilizes project controls in exercising budget and schedule management, forecasting, performance monitoring such as variance analysis, maintaining schedules and project plans, identifying trends, and assessing performance against budget targets
  • Works independently with minimal project analytical support (e.g., responsible for managing action items, process change control, setting meeting agendas, taking meeting minutes)
  • Resolves issues and ensures task completion by establishing priorities and resolving conflicts with team members and functional managers

Required Skills

  • 7 years of project management experience with projects in the field
  • Skilled in MS suite, Teams, SAP, Primavera P6 (or equivalent scheduling tool)

Preferred Skills

  • Project Management Professional certification
  • Substation project management, construction, engineering, or related utility experience
  • Organized, good communicator, strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated and proactive

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (minimum required)
  • Bachelor's degree in applicable profession, business, or technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience (required for this role)

Required Experience

  • 7 years of project management experience with projects in the field
