Are you ready to lead the charge in renewable energy? We're seeking a dynamic Project Manager to spearhead utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects. Based in the sunny and vibrant Juno Beach, FL, this role offers the perfect blend of technical challenge and career growth, with the occasional travel to project sites and local public hearings.
Responsibilities:
- Lead pre-construction planning and optimization for BESS projects, integrating engineering design, financial modeling, and regulatory constraints.
- Manage project development teams to meet project schedules efficiently.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure comprehensive project development.
- Support origination and development teams with negotiations and jurisdictional requirements.
- Develop financial models and manage them through executive budget approvals.
- Source, negotiate, and execute commercial contracts for critical services.
- Communicate with Executive Leadership, Suppliers, Regulatory Agencies, and Local Communities.
- Present project progress and risk mitigation strategies to management.
- Ensure seamless handover of projects to the Construction Project Manager.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on engineering, economics, or construction.
- Advanced Excel skills and excellent project management, communication, financial, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferences:
- Technical experience with renewable energy projects, particularly electricity markets, renewables, and battery projects.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and Six Sigma experience.
