A growing manufacturing organization in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Project Manager to oversee custom equipment orders from initiation through delivery and final payment. This role offers a competitive salary of $90,000–$130,000, depending on experience, and is ideal for someone who enjoys managing timelines, driving accountability, and ensuring customer expectations are met.

This is a highly visible role responsible for coordinating across multiple departments to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. The ideal Project Manager is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable leading communication between internal teams and external customers.

This is an in-person, on-site role in the Northtowns of Western New York.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and manage all phases of projects from order through delivery and closeout
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring alignment across teams and stakeholders
  • Lead regular project meetings and communicate progress, risks, and updates
  • Serve as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams
  • Identify project risks and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track
  • Initiate milestone billing and support financial tracking throughout the project lifecycle
  • Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost performance
  • Maintain project trackers, open issues logs, and reporting documentation
  • Support contract review, order acceptance, and project kickoff processes
  • Drive project closeout activities and lead lessons learned discussions
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to project execution and processes
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to schedule, cost, and delivery

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of project management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Experience managing build-to-order or engineered equipment projects strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, and financial tracking
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and equipment documentation
  • Experience working with ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
