Position Overview
The Panther Group is seeking a Project Manager to support our client in Temple, TX. This role will support the  Program Management Team, managing vehicle and hardware deliveries to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with technical and contractual requirements.
 
The Project Manager will oversee on-site program activities supporting  post-production integration efforts, working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, supply chain, manufacturing, finance, contracts, and quality teams.
 
 
Key Responsibilities
Program & Project Management
  • Manage all on-site program activities related to post-production integration efforts
  • Support program objectives including cost, schedule, technical performance, and customer satisfaction
  • Develop and maintain project plans, including:
    • Goals and deliverables
    • Staffing plans
    • Scheduling and milestones
    • Risk identification and mitigation
    • Resource allocation
  • Ensure completion of deliverables and on-time program execution
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Lead and coordinate matrixed teams across functional departments, including:
    • Engineering
    • Operations
    • Quality
    • Manufacturing
    • Supply Chain
    • Contracts
    • Finance
  • Inspire and guide teams operating in high-tempo, multi-site environments
Production & Delivery Management
  • Manage the flow of vehicles and hardware into the facility
  • Coordinate project activities to support timely delivery of contractual deliverables
  • Maintain and consolidate program schedules across multiple projects and contracts
Stakeholder & Customer Communication
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between BAE Systems, customers, suppliers, and stakeholders
  • Present project status, risks, and proposals to program leadership and senior management
  • Deliver project updates during technical and program reviews
Financial & Risk Management
  • Ensure projects meet financial commitments related to orders, sales, profit, and cash flow
  • Identify and manage risks and opportunities
  • Implement improvement plans when performance gaps arise
  • Use program metrics to monitor and verify performance against plans
Continuous Improvement
  • Capture and apply lessons learned to improve program performance
  • Implement strategies to improve project efficiency and delivery outcomes
 
Required Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 6+ years of relevant experience
Experience
  • Experience with project planning, execution, monitoring, and controlling processes
  • Experience managing project schedules and budgets
Skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to present project updates to internal and external leadership
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to manage high-volume workloads in fast-paced environments
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree with 7+ years of experience
  • Project Management certification such as:
    • Project Management Professional (PMP)
    • Program Management Professional (PgMP)
    • Other PMI-recognized certifications
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)

Pay Rate: Up to $64.03 per hour
