Requirements The Ideal Project Manager Will Have: Background in Construction Project Management, Assistant Project Management, or Project Engineering. Strong understanding of construction methods, technologies, and project details. Prior experience managing projects for a general contractor. Ability to thoroughly review and interpret construction documents, including drawings and specifications. Clear and effective communication skills with teams, partners, and stakeholders such as management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients. Familiarity with key skilled trades, including carpentry, masonry, concrete work, site preparation, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, and electrical systems.
