SCOPE The primary role of the Project Manager is to act as the central point of focus throughout the entire project life cycle, spanning from conceptualization to system acceptance. Their involvement typically commences during the project bidding phase and resumes post-contract notification. During this period, the Project Manager oversees the development or release of the budget, project schedule, approval drawings, and the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor purchase orders/contracts. A kick-off meeting is conducted to address site mobilization, deliveries, installation schedules, and any customer concerns before the commencement of the project. Subsequently, the Project Manager initiates, monitors, and ensures the successful completion of the installation, following established project implementation procedures. Post-customer training and system commissioning, the manager ensures the fulfillment of all close-out responsibilities. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS An engineering or technical management degree is preferred, but not mandatory. This individual must possess a strong analytical, managerial, and technical aptitude and be able to read and interpret blueprints. Being proficient in AutoCAD as well as other computer software is most desirable. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and motivational skills are mandatory, as is a general knowledge of material handling equipment and electrical system control procedures.
