Currently, our client is looking to add a Project Manager (Product Development) to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$35/hr

Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a Project Manager (Product Development) to lead coordination of a portfolio-wide reformulation program impacting all brand SKUs. This role supports strategic initiatives related to regulations, compliance, sustainability, and product improvements. The ideal candidate will drive multiple workstreams, maintain alignment across teams, and ensure timely execution.

Responsibilities of the Project Manager (Product Development):
  • Track, coordinate, and maintain timelines for the fragrance reformulation process across all brand SKUs, from development through manufacturing and partner notification.
  • Coordinate regulatory, compliance, sustainability, and strategic reformulation initiatives alongside the fragrance reformulation program.
  • Partner with Product Development and Packaging Project Managers to manage timelines, track samples, consolidate feedback, and support milestones.
  • Serve as a key liaison between internal teams and external partners, including fragrance houses and manufacturers.
  • Support product development activities such as project tracking, artwork coordination, and vendor communication.
  • Maintain clear documentation and status updates to support leadership visibility and decision-making.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment and efficient execution.
  • Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
Required Experience/Skills for the Project Manager (Product Development):
  • 3+ years of project management experience across global teams, preferably in New Product Development, R&D, or Supply Chain.
  • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools, including Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-SKU initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through.
  • Quick learner, adaptable to new systems and processes with minimal guidance.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to take ownership of projects.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills for remote or hybrid work environments.
  • Resourceful problem-solver with initiative and appropriate stakeholder engagement.
  • Continuous improvement mindset focused on streamlining processes and enhancing efficiency.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage shifting priorities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with experience influencing cross-functional teams.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Project Manager (Product Development):
  • Experience in the beauty or personal care industry.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements related to product reformulation.
  • Knowledge of sustainability initiatives in product development.
  • Advanced skills in project management software and data analysis.
  • Experience working with external partners and vendors in a matrixed environment.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a plus.
