Client Details

Our client is a leading general contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality MTA construction projects across New York City. Their work typically ranges from $50M to $100M+ and consists of complex, multi-year infrastructure builds.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Project Manager with an active PE license to take ownership of major transit-focused civil projects. This is a long-term opportunity with a clear path toward senior leadership.

Description

  • Manage daily execution of large-scale MTA construction projects from start to finish
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, contracts, and risk management
  • Lead coordination between field teams, engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders
  • Ensure all work aligns with engineering standards and PE requirements
  • Monitor and enforce safety regulations and project compliance standards
  • Conduct regular site visits and progress reviews to ensure quality and schedule adherence
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, agencies, and clients
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely procurement of materials
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, reporting, and cost tracking
  • Proactively resolve project challenges and mitigate risks

Profile

A successful Project Engineer should have:

  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license (required)
  • Strong experience managing large-scale civil or infrastructure projects
  • Experience working on MTA, transit, or public agency projects preferred
  • Deep understanding of construction methods, safety regulations, and compliance
  • Ability to manage multiple project stakeholders and drive timelines
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proven problem-solving ability in complex field environments
  • Proficiency with construction software (Procore, P6, etc.) preferred
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and project delivery excellence
