Project Manager - New Product Development & Commercialization

Medina, OH | Full-Time | Exempt

At Sandridge Crafted Foods, were passionate about bringing innovative food products to market while delivering exceptional quality and service to our customers. Were seeking a highly organized and collaborative Project Manager to lead new product launches, packaging initiatives, and cross-functional business projects from concept through commercialization.

In this role, youll serve as the central coordinator for projects across the organization, partnering with teams including Sales, Innovation, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Commercialization to ensure successful product launches and operational readiness.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys leading cross-functional teams, managing multiple priorities, and turning complex ideas into successful outcomes.

What Youll Do

Lead New Product Launches

  • Manage the end-to-end execution of new food products, packaging formats, and business initiatives through our Stage Gate process.

  • Drive project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and cross-functional accountability.

  • Ensure projects remain on schedule while balancing customer requirements, operational capabilities, and business objectives.

  • Coordinate activities required to bring new products from concept to commercial production.

Project Planning & Execution

  • Build and maintain project plans, timelines, risk assessments, and communication schedules.

  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and obstacles.

  • Develop mitigation plans and corrective actions to keep projects moving forward.

  • Ensure project documentation remains organized, accurate, and up to date.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead project meetings and facilitate communication across multiple departments.

  • Serve as a key point of contact between:

  • Sales

  • Innovation & Product Development

  • Operations

  • Quality Assurance

  • Finance

  • Commercialization Teams

  • Clearly communicate project status, responsibilities, decisions, and action items to stakeholders.

  • Foster collaboration and alignment across teams to support successful project execution.

Commercialization & Continuous Improvement

  • Coordinate activities required to ensure manufacturing readiness for new products and packaging.

  • Partner with Food Safety and Quality teams to ensure compliance requirements are met.

  • Conduct post-launch reviews to evaluate:

  • Sales performance

  • Cost performance

  • Customer feedback

  • Operational effectiveness

  • Identify opportunities to improve project execution, communication, and business processes.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

What Were Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of project management experience.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management certification (PMP, CAPM, or equivalent).

  • Experience in food manufacturing, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or related industries.

  • Experience supporting product launches, commercialization efforts, or stage-gate development processes.

  • Understanding of manufacturing operations, product development, or supply chain processes.
