Project Manager

About the Opportunity

Excel Services is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the continued growth of our commercial and industrial construction operations. This position will serve as a key liaison between owners, general contractors, design teams, and trade partners while overseeing the successful execution of complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing scopes.

This role is ideal for a construction professional who understands how large commercial and industrial projects are delivered and can effectively manage schedules, budgets, subcontractors, client relationships, and project execution from preconstruction through closeout.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial and industrial construction projects from preconstruction through completion
• Coordinate activities between owners, general contractors, design teams, subcontractors, and internal project teams
• Oversee project budgets, forecasting, cost controls, and financial performance
• Manage project schedules, milestones, and critical path activities
• Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders
• Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
• Identify and mitigate project risks while driving schedule and budget adherence
• Support procurement activities and subcontractor management
• Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and contractual requirements
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and field teams

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Management experience within commercial, industrial, mission critical, manufacturing, healthcare, or large-scale construction environments
• Experience working for a General Contractor, Design-Build Contractor, MEP Contractor, or Construction Management firm
• Demonstrated success managing project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and client relationships
• Strong understanding of construction project delivery methods and coordination across multiple trades
• Experience with change orders, cost tracking, forecasting, and project financial management
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite
