    Description

    SUMMARY

    The Project Manager position oversees the management of the project and serves as the primary liaison with the government to aid the Department of Interior (DOI), Office of Trust Analysis and Research in support of the federal government’s historical accounting obligations under the Reform Act and ongoing tribal accounting and tribal litigation efforts.

    ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS 

    • Must be able to obtain and maintain required client/Federal Government clearance.
    • US Citizenship per Federal Government requirements.
    • Indian Affairs and/or tribal experience highly desired.

    KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Provides oversight and management of onsite staff and subcontractors.
    • Develops and maintain project plans, financial tracker, and other contractual deliverables.
    • Manages various phases of document search.
    • Communicates with DOI staff to ensure timely processing of documents and images.
    • Creates and manages the database.
    • Ability to create and run database queries in Microsoft Access and SQL Server.
    • Possesses strong planning, organizational, and written communication skills.
    • Establishes and maintains relationships with customers, Federal Government and stakeholders.
    • Monitors program performance meeting customer requirements and expectations.
    • Issues regular weekly status reports on program performance to COR.
    • Identifies areas of non-conformance and develop remedial plans.
    • Resolves issues in a timely manner via escalation process and coordination of internal resources.
    • Conducts regular meetings with customer to ensure customer needs and timelines are achieved.
    • Knowledgeable on BTFA and utilizes the governments SOPs for box research and BISS query and refinement.
    • Performs QC search if necessary. New documents found during QC shall be noted on the Finding Aid.
    • Other duties may be assigned.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor’s degree with at least three to five (3-5) years years of supervisory experience. Working knowledge of SQL and NARA Records preferred.
