Project Manager

Actalent is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to oversee the execution and delivery of structural support systems, containment systems, and ceiling projects within the data center and commercial construction industries. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with customers while coordinating engineering, procurement, fabrication, and logistics activities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Delivery

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously from sales handoff through project closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, track milestones, and drive deliverables across engineering, procurement, fabrication, and shipping teams.
• Identify project risks, resource constraints, and customer requirements early to ensure successful execution.
• Monitor project progress and proactively address issues that could impact schedule, cost, or quality.

Customer Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout project execution.
• Lead customer meetings and manage technical submittal and review processes.
• Coordinate and resolve customer comments, questions, and design review feedback.
• Build strong client relationships through responsiveness, transparency, and consistent communication.

Commercial & Contract Support

• Monitor project scope against contractual requirements.
• Identify scope changes and support change order documentation and submission.
• Ensure additional customer requests are properly documented and approved prior to execution.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Establish accountability, assign action items, and follow through to completion.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including approvals, revisions, RFIs, submittals, and project decisions.

Technical Responsibilities

• Review and interpret structural drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
• Ensure project deliverables comply with applicable building codes, industry standards, and customer requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor"s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience managing projects or coordinating cross-functional teams and project deliverables.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of U.S. building codes and industry standards.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3-5 years of project management experience within manufacturing, construction, structural systems, or related environments.
• Experience supporting data center, infrastructure, or commercial construction projects.
• Familiarity with CAD, Revit, or structural analysis software.
• Experience using project management platforms such as Procore, Asana, or similar tools.

This is a Permanent position based out of Ladson, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
