Overview:
The Project Manager (PM) serves as the Contractor’s primary point of contact and the authorized interface with the Contracting Officer (CO) and Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR). The PM is accountable for the comprehensive management, oversight, and execution of all contractual requirements. This includes ensuring alignment with Department of Energy (DOE) objectives, maintaining adherence to established performance metrics, quality standards, and regulatory compliance requirements, and driving the successful and timely delivery of all contract deliverables.

Responsibilities:

What You'll Get To Do:

 

  • Serve as the Contractor’s primary point of contact and authorized interface with the Contracting Officer (CO) and Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), ensuring effective communication and responsiveness.
  • Provide strategic leadership, direction, and oversight for all project management activities and contract performance.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce policies, work standards, and operational procedures to support efficient and compliant execution of contract requirements.
  • Plan, assign, and manage work schedules while overseeing daily operations to ensure timely and successful contract performance.
  • Supervise personnel, ensuring appropriate staffing levels, workforce performance, accountability, and professional development.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve performance issues or discrepancies, implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop, refine, and maintain compliant processes and procedures aligned with DOE and federal requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and submit all required reports, deliverables, and documentation in accordance with contract terms and established timelines.
  • Communicate organizational policies, priorities, and objectives to personnel to ensure alignment with contract and DOE mission goals.
  • Establish, implement, and manage quality assurance and quality control programs to ensure achievement of all performance and service delivery standards.
  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable DOE directives, federal regulations, and contract-specific requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of contract objectives and mission success.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in protective force operations, preferably within the Department of Energy (DOE), National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), or a comparable federal or high-security environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and supervising personnel in the execution of security or protective force contracts, with accountability for operational performance and compliance.
  • Proven ability to effectively lead teams, manage staffing levels, develop work schedules, and monitor performance within regulated, high-security, or mission-critical environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information to personnel, stakeholders, and Government representatives.
  • Possession of a valid state driver’s license with the ability to operate government or contractor vehicles as required.
  • Active DOE Q clearance.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and hold personnel accountable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear, concise reports and brief leadership effectively.
  • Working knowledge of DOE directives, federal regulations, and security operations best practices.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to assess operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to operate effectively in high-security, fast-paced, and mission-focused environments.
