Job Description

The Information Technology (IT) Program Management Office (PMO) is seeking an experienced Project Manager to collaborate with a diverse team of IT professionals across cybersecurity, infrastructure, business management, and end?user support. The successful candidate will lead teams and manage projects that deploy next?generation information technologies across multiple locations. This role operates in a technically diverse, fast?paced environment and supports the delivery of comprehensive enterprise IT services.

 

Some of the duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with IT and line-of-business teams to clearly define, document, and communicate user needs.
  • Define project scope and schedules; validate assumptions and evaluate change requests involving scope, budget, or timelines.
  • Monitor project performance metrics and take corrective actions when needed.
  • Develop resource plans and coordinate with IT leadership to ensure appropriate staffing and funding for project delivery.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience; or
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency and leadership in project management administration.   
  • Demonstrated successful experience with initiating, planning and executing complex projects.
  • Experience in developing planning estimates, procurements, technical work plans, and executing change control at the Project level.
  • Experience in integrating work efforts between stakeholders, functional areas, and across organizational boundaries.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications, including development of submittals and presentations to senior management.
  • Strong attention to detail, strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated high level of motivation and innovation for managing complex project elements.
  • Experience adapting to changing priorities based on emergent business needs.
  • Proven experience working with, and negotiating with, management.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage technical background to manage and support internal and external stakeholders.
  • Efficient and effective processes for managing information and data across multiple, simultaneous projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute assignments independently with minimal oversight.
  • Experience using Project Management tools such as Oracle Primavera or Microsoft Project, and the Microsoft Office Suite including Office 365.

Pay Range

$86,100.00 - $134,600.00 annually
Salary information provided is a general guideline only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation.
